Termination of proposed Acquisition of 100% Equity Interest in GreenBelt View Sdn Bhd

We refer to our announcements dated 16 April 2001 and 21 May 2001 in respect of the aforesaid matter and wish to provide the following additional information:

Parties have today agreed on a settlement, on a no admission of liability basis, of the refund of the sum of RM1.2 million which was paid by Landmarks Berhad's wholly owned subsidiary, Sikap Damai Sdn Bhd, as a deposit for the said acquisition.

In this connection, kindly furnish the Exchange with the following additional information for public release :

1. Reasons for the termination of the Share Sale Agreement.

2. Treatment of the deposit already paid to Green Belt Sdn Bhd explaining whether it is refundable or forfeited.
